Apple on Monday launched iOS/iPadOS 18.2.1, a small replace that addresses bug fixes. It arrives just some weeks earlier than iOS 18.3, which started testing in December.
Apple’s launch notes are very temporary, merely stating that the replace “gives necessary bug fixes and is really helpful for all customers.” It’s not clear what the replace particularly fixes as there aren’t any identified widespread bugs in iOS 18.2.
On Apple’s safety web site, it says the replace has no revealed CVE entries, which is uncommon for level updates. Moreover, there isn’t a corresponding replace for macOS or iOS 17 gadgets.
Apple launched iOS 18.2 in mid-December with a number of new Apple Intelligence options together with ChatGPT integration, a number of quality-of-life improvements, and quite a few safety updates.
To replace your iPhone or iPad, head over to the Settings app, then Basic and Software program Replace. The 500MB replace will take a number of minutes to put in.
